With this project, our goal was to create a space that felt just as beautiful as it was practical. With custom cabinetry, generous storage, and a dedicated sewing workstation, every inch of the room was designed to support the way the homeowner actually lives.
And one of our favorite details wasn't something we built at all. The homeowner selected the wallpaper, and it couldn't be a better reflection of her personality. Soft, cheerful, and full of character, it transforms what could have been an ordinary laundry room into a welcoming retreat.
Storage That Works Hard
Utilitarian spaces like laundry rooms tend to collect everything from cleaning supplies to seasonal linens, so thoughtful storage was a priority.
Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry keeps everyday essentials tucked neatly away while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look. Two small sections of open shelving provide just enough space for decorative accents, helping the room feel warm and lived-in.
Brass hardware adds a subtle touch of warmth against the crisp white cabinetry, creating a timeless look that complements the rich wood flooring.
Every Detail Has a Purpose
A laundry room should do more than hide the washer and dryer. That's why this design includes a built-in utility sink that makes everyday chores simpler. From soaking stained clothing and hand-washing delicate fabrics to cleaning up after craft projects or filling a watering can, the sink adds another layer of functionality without sacrificing style.
Paired with generous countertop space for folding clothes and organizing supplies, the room is designed to support everything from household tasks to creative hobbies.
More Than Just Laundry
One of the most unique features of this project is the custom sewing desk. Rather than treating the room as a single-purpose space, we designed an area where our client can enjoy one of her favorite hobbies. It's a simple addition, but one that makes the room feel personal.
