Beautiful Bathroom Vanity Trends

Your oasis awaits...

Bathrooms. While they could be underwhelming and neglected spaces, we believe that they can be one of the best ‘wow’ moments in the home. With a few design changes, we can transform your space, making your bathroom feel like a luxurious spa retreat!

One of the most impactful changes is to install a custom built-in vanity. Not only will a built-in vanity add style and sophistication to your space, but it also provides much-needed storage. We've gathered some of our favorite bathroom vanity trends for you to check out below!

Trending Colors

When first envisioning your new built-in vanity, color likely comes to mind first. Of course, everyone thinks of the basics; white, black, and gray. Despite these 3 colors being the most common choices out there, white and grey finishes are becoming less popular in 2022. Warm tones and wood accents are seeing a big resurgence in popularity and we couldn't be more thrilled!

A rich, dark wood such as mahogany or walnut gives your vanity a more luxurious feel.
If you want a more subtle look, try light wood like maple or birch; these add a touch of warmth without being too overpowering.

You're not stuck to just neutral colors! Adding a pop of color to your vanity is a great way to make a bold statement in your bathroom. We're seeing a lot of vanities in jewel tones like emerald green and royal blue. If you're not ready to commit to color just yet, consider adding some colorful accents like tiles or hardware.

Trending Vanity Materials

In addition to the colors you choose for your vanity, you'll also need to decide on the materials. Again, there are many options to choose from, but some materials are definitely trending more than others. Maple, Birch, and Teak are all fantastic options. And, Pine is always in style for a bathroom that will stand the test of time.

Complete the look with quartz or marble countertops, as those are both in high demand and high in style. They're classic choices that will always look chic. Quartz is also extremely durable, so it's perfect for high-traffic areas like bathrooms.

Brushed nickel and chrome go with practically every color, and they don't take attention away from your beautiful custom cabinetry. If you want to add a little bit of personality to your vanity, consider using unique hardware. Go for high-end handles or a bold color that will pop against the cabinetry.

Although there may be a comeback of gold or bronze hardware, you'll want to ensure your vanity's design will stay "in" for years to come.

Whatever you choose, make sure they're compatible with the rest of the hardware in your bathroom so everything coordinates nicely.

Fabulously Functional

Your bathroom should be a space where you can relax and unwind, so it's important to choose a vanity that helps make your routine easier. Here are some trends that'll be as functional as they are fabulous!

Open Shelving

Let's face it, we've all found some makeup in the back of our cabinets that we forgot about. Sometimes, it's just easier to see your items out instead of having them hidden away, (this helps you keep everything well organized too)!

Not only does open shelving look oh so chic, but it's also super functional. You can easily see all of your products and grab what you need without having to search through cabinets.

Open Bottom & Floating Vanities

Sticking with the theme of opening up the feel of your bathroom, open bottom/floating vanities are a great way give the appearance of more space. Just be wary of replacing a typical vanity with an open-bottomed one, as if it was built-in with the house there may not be tiles underneath.

If you're looking for a vanity that adds a touch of luxury sure to stun any guest, floating vanities are a perfect choice. Built into the wall, these vanities appear to be "floating" in the air. Not only do they look sleek and modern, but they also add a ton of spaciousness to your bathroom.

Think Outside of the Cabinet

Consider adding some special features like shelved drawers or a Lazy Susan. These are great for storing things like toiletries, towels, and other bathroom essentials.

If you have a smaller bathroom, consider adding some built-in storage around the door. This is a great way to make use of otherwise wasted space and keep your bathroom organized and tidy. Plus, it's an excellent way to add some extra storage without compromising on style.

The Wow-Factor

If you're looking for a custom vanity that makes a real statement, there are endless ways to make your vanity stand out.

Here are a few of our favorites:

Remember: sometimes less is more – but no less stunning. Minimalist vanities are growing in popularity because they're simple, streamlined, and timeless. They don't distract from the other features of the bathroom, like the sink or tilework, and they can easily be paired with any style of décor.

If you can't figure out the perfect thing to add to give your bathroom that "wow-factor", consider going for a more minimalistic approach.
